Sunday the 4th
I’m grocery shopping and am planning ahead. What do ya’ll want to do for food Suday? I’m in the mood to cook.
Sunday, December 21st
We’re celebrating the birth of Christ this Sunday! For food, we’re having Lasagna and spinach salad. Don’t worry about bringing anything–it’s already taken care of.
We will be watching the movie “Nativity Story” and it will begin at 11:15! Merry Christmas!
Sunday
Hey everybody! I hope you’ve all had a great week! Just wanted to remind you that we won’t be meeting tomorrow morning. Instead, we’re meeting at 6 PM (actually, if you could be here by 5:30, that would be awesome) to go Christmas Carolling in the neighborhood! If you have any spare candles, bring them too! Be praying that something as small as this would be used by God to begin moving someone closer to Him! By the way, what songs should we do? I figured we would keep it simple–maybe 2 or 3? Silent Night, Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, or Deck the Halls or something like that?!
Events & Stuff
Ok…I’m going to try to get this all right! I’ll also add the events to the calendar at the right of the page.
December 9th - Ladies Night Out Christmas Party
December 14th - Churchwide/Community Wide Christmas Carol Celebration: this will be near Silver Creek and will be at 5 PM…if you know of anyone who might be interested in bringing their family to a Christmas event–especially someone who doesn’t “do” church, this is a good opportunity…this is also a huge ministry to my neighborhood as well as the two neighborhoods near me–lots of families who might desire a place to celebrate Christmas in an authentic way
December 19th - 7th Annual PPC Christmas Party @ the Jimmerson’s: No kids, just the grown-ups, bring a $5 gift and finger food
Next week we’re studying Chapter 27 in the Stories book–that’s the part about the birth of Christ–and the scriptures that go along with it. It’s got the scriptures listed in the first part of the chapter.
Have a great week!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone has a great and reflective Thanksgiving today. I’m so thankful for our church! I’m thankful for what God is teaching me and His plan for our lives!
This Week & Beyond
Just wanted to let everyone know we’re reading Chapter 4 of the Greatest Stories book and studying the scripture that goes along with it–Exodus 1-14. If you don’t have the book yet, just read the scriptures and you’ll be fine!
No Community Group this week since it’s Thanksgiving! Also, be praying about what we discussed this morning–having a Christmas worship service for the community. Pray that we could find a place to hold it!
I hope you all have a great week and that God works in you and through you!
REMEMBER tomorrow is worship at home~
Hey, don’t forget that Nov. 16 we are worshipping in our own homes with our families. We enjoy letting our kids pick the songs we will sing and even pick what Bible story they want us to read. Enjoy!
Wednesday, November 19 we will be back at the Murdaugh’s home at 6:30. Bring your discipleship profile and your completed results for those who asked you to fill one out for them.
Missing ya’ll!
